DeepSynopsis Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 9, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how Gamma HealthTech FZ LLC ("Gamma HealthTech," "we," "our," or "us"), operating under the brand name "DeepSynopsis," collects, uses, discloses, transfers, and protects information when you interact with our websites, mobile apps, and other digital properties designed for practicing clinicians (together, the "DeepSynopsis Platform"). The DeepSynopsis Platform offers personalized clinical content and professional resources, including medical news, reference materials, decision-support tools, accredited education, sponsored programs and advertising, market-research invitations, and peer-to-peer forums, which we refer to collectively as the "Services."

This document does not govern any DeepSynopsis property that links to a different privacy statement. If DeepSynopsis acquires or partners with another company, that company's properties may continue to operate under their existing privacy policy until their practices have been harmonized with ours, after which this Privacy Policy will apply.

Our Services are intended to help healthcare professionals deliver high-quality patient care. Your use of the Services is voluntary; however, by choosing to do so you must accept the DeepSynopsis Platform Terms of Use, which form a binding agreement between you and DeepSynopsis. Acceptance of those Terms indicates that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and consent to the data practices it describes. If you disagree with any part of this Policy, please refrain from using the Services.

By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that your information may be stored and processed in the United States or in any other country where DeepSynopsis or its service providers maintain facilities. Privacy regulations in those jurisdictions may differ from those in your home country.

Information We Collect and How We Collect It

Below is a plain-language explanation of the main ways DeepSynopsis gathers information when you interact with our Platform.

1. Account Registration
When you sign up, we ask for core professional details, your name, work email, postal code, clinical role, specialty, and, where local law requires, your medical license or registration number. You can review and edit these details any time in your profile settings.

2. Activity on the Platform
We automatically record how you use DeepSynopsis: which articles, tools, adverts, or sponsored programs you view; the emails you open or ignore; links you click; searches you run; and the dates, times, and frequency of all of those actions. At the same time, we capture technical data from the device you are using (IP address, approximate or precise location, browser and referrer details, cookie IDs, and mobile advertising IDs). We rely on cookies, pixels, tags, web beacons, and software-development kits to make this possible.

3. Cross-Device Recognition
By analyzing cookies and similar identifiers, we (and specialist analytics partners) infer when the same person or household is using DeepSynopsis across several phones, tablets, or computers. Doing so let us:

  • keep your experience consistent from one device to the next.
  • limit how often the same advert appears.
  • tailor content and advertising to your interests across devices; and
  • spot and block fraudulent activity.

4. Market-Research Participation
We may invite you to complete surveys for our own insight generation or on behalf of a sponsoring company (for example, a pharmaceutical manufacturer). Some questionnaires ask for contact details so we can follow up or send an honorarium.

5. Public Discussions and Forums
Anything you post in a discussion board, comment thread, or similar public area is visible to other users. By default, your username, specialty, and credentials appear next to your comment, and you can choose to show more (such as a profile photo). Content shared in these public spaces may be reused by DeepSynopsis or third parties as described in our Terms of Use.

6. Request Forms and Event Sign-Ups
From time to time we offer forms that let you request product samples, schedule a rep visit, register for a CME webinar, or obtain other resources. The personal data you provide is used to fulfil that request and, when a third-party sponsor is involved, shared with that sponsor under the terms stated on the form.

7. Information from Third-Party Sources
To verify professional status, enrich profiles, improve research quality, or customize content and ads, we occasionally combine the data you give us with information from reputable external databases or service partners.

8. Visitors Who Have Not Registered
Certain parts of DeepSynopsis can be viewed without creating an account. Even so, we still collect basic analytics, such as the page visited, referring site, browser type, and timestamp, through cookies and similar technologies so we can understand and improve our services.

How We Use Your Information

Below is an outline, in plain language, of the main ways DeepSynopsis makes use of the data we collect. We always do so in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

1. Delivering and Improving the Services

We use your information to operate the DeepSynopsis Platform, keep it secure, fix bugs, measure performance, and develop new tools or features that benefit healthcare professionals.

2. Building Your Member Profile

Usage patterns (articles read, searches, survey responses, etc.) are combined with the details you provided at registration and any verified third-party data to create a dynamic Member Profile. This profile helps us understand your clinical interests and specialty so we can tailor the experience and content you see.

3. Creating a Network Profile

Basic professional details, such as name, credentials, and specialty, may be shown to other DeepSynopsis members alongside any comments you post or content you engage with. We may augment this information with reputable third-party sources (for example, industry registries) so peers know they are interacting with a verified clinician.

4. Communicating With You

By registering, you agree that DeepSynopsis may contact you about:

  • product updates and new features.
  • clinical resources and educational opportunities.
  • surveys and market research invitations.
  • promotional messages from sponsors (e.g., life-science companies).
These messages can arrive via email, in-app notifications, or other lawful channels. You can adjust your communication preferences at any time.

5. Commercial Data Licensing

Aggregated or de-identified interaction data, including questions or prompts you submit, may be licensed or sold to third parties for analytics, research, or other lawful commercial purposes. We do not disclose information that directly identifies you unless we have your explicit consent or a legal basis to do so.

6. Personalizing Content and Advertising

DeepSynopsis relies on personalization to deliver relevant clinical insight and to fund a free service through advertising and sponsorships. We use:

  • Profile data (specialty, role, verified credentials).
  • Behavioral signals (articles viewed, search terms, device and location data, time of day, survey answers, social sharing).
  • Similarity algorithms (patterns shared by clinicians with comparable interests).

This information allows us and our advertising partners to decide, for example, that an oncologist is more likely to see a precision-oncology webinar invitation, while a cardiologist may see a heart-failure product update. Our partners place and read their own cookies or mobile identifiers; their use of that data is governed by their privacy policies. You can manage or opt-out of such tracking via the cookie controls explained in our Cookie Notice.

Personalization never blocks access to content, you are free to browse any available material, but it does affect what is recommended and in what order.

7. Professional Verification

To protect the integrity of the community we may cross-check your registration details against external databases or request proof of licensure. If you cannot verify professional status to our reasonable satisfaction, we may limit or deny access to certain Services.

8. Account Administration

We use your information to reset passwords, respond to support tickets, fulfil content requests, and send other administrative notices necessary to keep your account running smoothly.

9. Security & Legal Protection

Information may be processed to detect and investigate fraud, enforce the DeepSynopsis Terms of Use, resolve disputes, and defend our legal rights. Where required, data may be shared with regulators or law-enforcement authorities.

10. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR and Similar Laws)

  • Contract: Many uses, such as showing tailored clinical content, are necessary to perform the agreement you enter into when you create a DeepSynopsis account.
  • Legitimate Interests: We analyze usage, personalize ads, and improve security to sustain a free, clinician-centric platform. We balance these interests against your privacy rights.
  • Consent: Email newsletters, certain market research surveys, and granular data sharing with sponsors rely on your explicit permission, which you may withdraw at any time.
  • Legal Obligation: We retain or disclose data when laws, court orders, or regulatory requirements compel us to do so.

Sharing Your Information with Third Parties

DeepSynopsis may disclose information collected through the Platform in the situations outlined below. Whenever we share personal data, we require recipients to handle it in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

1. Service Providers

We engage trusted vendors to help us run the Platform, e-mail distribution partners, analytics firms, cloud-hosting providers, identity-verification services, event planners, payment-processing companies, customer-support tools, and similar specialists. These partners receive only the personal data needed to perform their duties and may use it solely for that purpose. In some cases (for example, personalized advertising), we may share hashed email addresses, IP addresses, or basic device details so a partner can match them to demographic or interest data already in its possession.

2. Advertising & Sponsored Program Partners

When you view sponsor content or interact with a branded resource, we may, where permitted, share limited professional details (e.g., your name and specialty, but not your direct contact information) with the sponsor or its agencies, along with metrics such as whether you opened an e-mail or completed an activity. Before a campaign is launched, we may also give potential sponsors a de-identified list of eligible clinicians so they can target their message effectively. All sponsored items are clearly labelled (for example, "Sponsored" or "Information from Industry").

3. Member & Network Profiles

  • Member Profiles: Subject to local regulations, non-contact portions of your Member Profile may be provided to advertisers or other partners for their own legitimate business purposes, such as segmenting audiences.
  • Network Profiles: Your professional profile, together with visible engagement (likes, comments, posts), can be seen by other DeepSynopsis members so they can connect and collaborate.

4. Market-Research Fulfilment

If you are compensated for a survey, we share the necessary information with our payment vendor to issue the honorarium and keep required records. Where a study is run by an external research firm, we may confirm to that firm whether you are a DeepSynopsis member or supply your contact details if the invitation requires direct outreach. Survey answers are provided to sponsors only in aggregate or de-identified form.

5. Pharmacovigilance / Adverse-Event Reporting

If you voluntarily report a drug or device adverse event through the Platform, we may be legally obliged to forward the details, including your contact information, to the product’s manufacturer or to regulators.

6. With Your Consent

If a use or sharing scenario falls outside this Policy, we will seek your explicit permission first.

7. Aggregated or De-identified Insights

We may publish or license statistics that combine many users’ data, e.g., "20 % of cardiologists on DeepSynopsis practice in the GCC." These reports never contain information that could reasonably identify you.

8. Social Media Widgets

Articles or tools may include "share" or "like" buttons supplied by external social networks. Those networks may collect browsing data via the widget according to their own privacy settings; you can manage those preferences directly on the relevant platform.

9. Corporate Affiliates

DeepSynopsis Inc. and its subsidiary or parent companies may exchange your information for the uses described in this Policy, including multi-channel marketing, where lawful.

10. Business Transfers

If DeepSynopsis is involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or asset sale, your personal data may be transferred to the new controlling entity, subject to the promises in this Policy (as it may be updated).

11. Legal & Safety Obligations

We may disclose personal information when we believe it is required to comply with applicable law, court orders, or legitimate government requests, or when disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, property, safety, or that of our users or the public.

Security of Your Information

DeepSynopsis maintains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to keep the personal information in our care safe from unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or accidental loss. Whenever you submit personal data on the Platform, that transmission is protected by TLS/SSL encryption or an equivalent secure-channel technology.

Please remember that you are responsible for protecting the confidentiality of your DeepSynopsis username and password. No method of online transmission or electronic storage is perfectly secure; while we work hard to protect your data, we cannot promise absolute security.

Unless a longer retention period is required by law, we store personal information for up to one year after you deactivate your account. After that, the data is either archived for statutory-limitation and audit purposes or irreversibly anonymized so it can no longer be linked back to you.

Your Choices and Controls

Managing Account Details
You can review, update, or delete your registration information at any time in the Account Settings area of the Platform. Alternatively, e-mail support@deepsynopsis.com and we will assist. Deleting an account removes active personal data, but DeepSynopsis may retain de-identified records for legitimate internal purposes such as analytics and reporting.

Cookies
Most browsers let you block all cookies or only third-party cookies. If you refuse our cookies, some features of DeepSynopsis may not work as intended.

Interest-Based Advertising
Opting out of cookies (see above) limits the personalized ads you see on DeepSynopsis and elsewhere, though it will not reduce the total number of adverts delivered. Our sites do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals. Deleting cookies, switching browsers, or using a new device may require you to repeat any opt-out steps.

Mobile Advertising IDs
On iOS, enable Limit Ad Tracking; on Android, enable Opt out of Ads Personalization. This curbs the use of your device’s ad identifier for behavioral advertising but does not eliminate all ads.

Precise Location Data
You control location sharing in your device’s system settings. Disabling it prevents DeepSynopsis from receiving GPS-level location information.

E-mail Preferences
Every marketing or newsletter e-mail contains an Unsubscribe link. You can also adjust subscriptions in your account settings. Service-critical notices (e.g., password resets, terms changes) are not optional while your account is active. If you supplied multiple e-mail addresses, you must unsubscribe each one separately.

Push Notifications
Turn off notifications in your device settings or in the app’s preferences panel if you no longer wish to receive them.

Region-Specific Rights

  • California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA.
  • EU/EEA and similar jurisdictions: Where granted by law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, or object to certain processing. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Exercising some of these rights may limit or prevent your continued use of the Platform. To make a request, contact support@deepsynopsis.com.
  • You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority if you believe we have mishandled your information.

Mandatory Data
Certain personal details are required to create a clinician account. If you choose not to provide them, you may be unable to access some or all DeepSynopsis services.

Automated Decision-Making
DeepSynopsis does not engage in automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Notice to Users Outside the United States

Gamma HealthTech FZ LLC, the owner and operator of the DeepSynopsis brand, is headquartered in the United Arab Emirates. Most of our technical infrastructure, including our primary data-hosting facilities, is located in the United States. To provide the DeepSynopsis Platform, we may transfer your personal data from your country of residence to the United States or to other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate. These destinations may not offer the same level of data protection as the laws of your home country.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or in another region with privacy requirements stricter than those in the United States, please be aware that, by using DeepSynopsis, you are expressly consenting to the transfer, processing, and storage of your information in the United States and in any other jurisdiction outside your own.

Personal data stored in the United States may be accessible to U.S. courts, law-enforcement agencies, and national-security authorities pursuant to lawful requests.

Children’s Privacy

The DeepSynopsis Platform is intended solely for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If we discover that we have inadvertently received information from a minor, we will delete it as soon as feasible.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Unless we state otherwise, changes will take effect once the revised Policy is posted on our sites and apps. If we make material revisions, we will notify you in advance, either by e-mail (to the address in your profile) or by a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of DeepSynopsis after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms, so we encourage you to review this page periodically.
